Luang Prabang World Heritage Zones, Temples and Buildings

Further to my post about a list of Temples in Luang Prabang I have taken it a step further, or maybe a few steps further, and produced a Google Map.

It shows each of the different World Heritage Zones as well as the locations of all of the temples within the zones. It also shows the World Heritage listed buildings within the A Zone.

Clicking on any of the points, Temple or building, will bring up the name and a photo. I have tried to use the Temple names as given by UNESCO so they tend to differ in many cases from the name on the sign or the many local spelling variations. Ultimately I would like to include an “AKA” section.

Each layer can be turned on and off if you only want to see the temples or buildings or an individual zone.

This is still a work-in-progress so any comments or suggestions will be gratefully received. They may, however, be ignored.  😉

You can click in the top right corner of the map to open it in a full window.
